Here
are some great people that deserve your attention.
If
you are ever near the Cedar Rapids area, go see
him. When I met him, his first guitar {an
acoustic} had three strings on it tuned in unison. He
begged for an electric until his Dad gave in. We
were in our very first band together as kids. From the
day his Dad gave him that guitar, he showed the
want & drive that makes for a great guitar player.
And he is. Go see him, he's funny, and damn can he
play guitar. I dream that someday I might be able to
play guitar as well. No one makes me want to
smash my guitar into a million pieces and give up the
way he does.
If you don't know these
guys, you soon will. The Oxygen channel is using some of
their tracks on the new show "Bad Girls Club".
Front man Eric Nelsons delivery of clever lyrics will keep you
coming back for more.
He's the
"Yankee Cowboy". Singer Songwriter Shadric Smith
takes you around the country with his brand of Texas Swing,
Blues, and Country Fiddle music. Before the first verse of
"Ride The Texas Wind" you'll feel as though you're
there on the Texas Plains.
These folks have been
bringing in first rate blues to our area for quite awhile now.
