Some sad news to share with you.

"Betsy's Blue Note closes".

Betsy's last night of being in business is tonight May 31st, as I write this. She & I would like to thank each and everyone of you who came to the Jam sessions that were held for the last 5 years. Due to hard economic times and the landlord raising her rent in the midst of it all, she was left with no alternative than to close down. Betsy supported live original music when no one would take a chance. She gave us all a place to perform the kinds of music we enjoyed playing. This allowed for the upswing in live entertainment, and formation of many new live bands here in Fort Dodge. She brought us up and coming Blues, Rock, and Metal artists. Her presence in the live music scene will be greatly missed. With out her many new bands would have never been. "Cheap Drinks, Peaches & Diesel, Toadstool, Last in Line, Mumbo Jumbo, are but a few in a long list.
