             Acoustic Jam at SPANKYS is the place to hang out, meet others, bring in new original songs, or play some old favorites. We encourage everyone to play. It's a low key type of atmosphere which is perfect for a first timer or a seasoned veteran as well.

Start time is 9pm Thursday nights. See the Shows page for the new schedule. Thanks!

Acoustic Jam Format edicate

                1. Bring your own instrument. 2. Sign in. 3. Play 1 to 3 songs {15 minutes} 4. Have fun. 5. Repeat as needed. 6. Buy Kris and drummer Paul Reisner a drink {optional}. 7. Be respectful and kind to others and their music and repeat as needed {see #6.}

            Turns: Just like you, I am human and I may forget someone's turn. If you see me missing someone's turn, please tell me about it. I want to make sure that everyone gets heard.

           Also, players and audience members can plan on being exposed to all types of music. If you don't care for the music being played please keep your opinions in check and remember to be respectful of the others that do like what they are hearing and playing. Also remember that we are dealing with drums and guitar amps at times. Simply put, drums and guitar amps sometimes get LOUD! I have been a drummer and guitarist, and will not interfear with other players volume unless I truly feel that they are "out of bounds". If it's too hot, get out of the kitchen. I do not expect a rock band to be at the same level as the acoustic player just prior and neither should you. The truth of the matter is, we never know what type of music will be played or who the players will be.  After all, it is a OPEN MIC STYLE JAM. Not a juke box.

Lastly, you need your own instrument, bring a cable for your guitar. The P.A.., direct boxes, mics, and lighting are provided.

Where?: Spankys  is located on the second floor of the Eagles Club between 10th & 11th Streets on the North side of 1st Ave. North in Fort Dodge, Ia.
